This trick will keep your homemade or store bought pizza bases as crispy as if you had a wood-fired pizza oven! all without a pizza stone!
Preheat your oven on the highest setting with the grill function on. Yes, that's right, get your oven as hot as it will possibly go and let it heat up for at least 20 minutes before using.
Next sprinkle some semolina flour (or similar) onto the bottom of a heavy based (as a thin pan will heat up too quickly and burn the dough) metal or ceramic pan (no plastic handles please otherwise it will melt), and then add the pizza sauce and whichever toppings you wish.
Cook the pizza on the stove top on a high heat for 1-2 minutes then place into the oven for 4-6 minutes until golden brown on top.
Pull out of the oven and put on any additional toppings and EAT!
